Sale watermelons are gone but the story is still worth telling…

In partnership with the P6 Cooperative and other local retail co-ops, we brought in a bountiful crop of delicious watermelon, fresh from the fields of the south. With every purchase we wove the human fabric more closely – local neighbors connecting to the Federation of Southern Cooperatives, which helps support the economic development of African American farmers and the rural poor.

Movies in the Park – Last feature this summer is August 12th – SING!

An animated comedy about finding the music that lives in all of us! Buster Moon presides over a theater that has fallen on hard times. Buster attempts to restore his fading jewel by producing the world's greatest singing competition – which accidentally becomes grander than he intended – and contestants find that their lives will never be the same. Tree-Free Greeting Card Giveaway!

Social networking, the old-fashioned way – stop by the #TreeFreeLove table to send a FREE greeting! They'll be providing cards, stamps & pens so you can post a quick card to brighten someone's day. Cards are made in the USA with 100% post consumer recycled paper using renewable energy sources.

Queen of Katwe

The vibrant true story of Phiona, a young girl from the Katwe slums in Kampala, Uganda. Her world rapidly changes when she is introduced to the game of chess and, as a result of the support she receives from her family and community, Phiona is instilled with the confidence and determination she needs to pursue her dream of becoming an international chess champion. Clothesline Challenge & Giveaway ~ Celebrate Earth Day & National Poetry Month!

On Saturday the 22nd, Transition Town All St. Anthony Park will be at HPC giving out FREE "solar drying" kits: a 50-ft clothesline, some hardware & pins!
