Dear Hampden Park Co-op Member-Owners & Customers,
I am writing to notify you that Christina Nicholson has made the difficult decision to step away from her role as General Manager of the Hampden Park Co-op in order to return to graduate school. Her last day will be Saturday, March 31, 2018. Please join me and the Board of Directors as we wish her well as she moves on.
On behalf of the Board, I want to express our gratitude to Christina for being an exemplary leader and a spirited store manager. Christina has increased our co-op’s profile in nearly all aspects including: a strong sales floor team, positive sales growth with record sales in December, a thoughtfully updated retail environment, and deeper connections with both our neighborhood as well as the wider cooperative community. No doubt, Christina will be missed.
In the next two weeks, we will launch the search process for a new General Manager. Given HPC’s solid balance sheet and increasing growth, the Board is especially interested in candidates who have experience in growing sales in a local business as well as have the leadership skills to support and grow our current strong team, and who are centered in cooperative values. If you are aware of any potential candidates, please direct them to the co-op’s website. The position description and related details will be posted the week of January 15th.
The Board of Directors will be working closely with Christina to ensure the transition process is seamless and that you continue to receive the high-quality products and service that you currently enjoy.
Thank you for your support!
Hampden Park Co-op
