The vibrant true story of Phiona, a young girl from the Katwe slums in Kampala, Uganda. Her world rapidly changes when she is introduced to the game of chess and, as a result of the support she receives from her family and community, Phiona is instilled with the confidence and determination she needs to pursue her dream of becoming an international chess champion. Free & PG! Bring along a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a starlit night of fun with friends & family! You can come before dusk to stake out your place and socialize – everyone is welcome to Movies in the Park. The store will stay open until 9:00 on film nights for late picnic or snack needs.
